The Natives earrings are wonderfully rugged girls handcrafted from sterling silver, copper and african turquoise~
I travel as much as possible. A lot of times it’s just me and the open road taking it all in. I took a trip out west and ended up in Sedona. The free-spirit of the southwest affected me deeply and it often comes out in what I design. Sometimes I’ll start working on something and realize later that the lines or textures are reminiscent of something I saw or felt when I was in the west, exploring the desert. I guess subconsciously, Arizona is always in my mind.
The Native earrings are composed of hand cut copper rounds, hammered for lush texture, given a patina for an aged appearance that will develop even more over time and then brushed for a satin finish. Hand forged ear wires of my own design and created specifically for these earrings are gorgeously full bodied, reminiscent of hoops. The stem of the earwires are embellished with African turquoise and bronze colored glass beads, complementing the aged copper gorgeously. These girls will frame your face in the most gorgeous way~
Rugged and wonderfully free spirited.
